If jazz is about constant reinvention and moving tradition forward, you would be hard pressed to find more fitting representatives than the members of this extraordinary new quartet. Composed of an NEA Jazz Master (drummer Jack DeJohnette) two Grammy winners (saxophonist Joe Lovano and bassist Esperanza Spalding) and remarkable Argentinean pianist (Leo Genovese), the band is a multigenerational wonder that is setting the standard—and pointing the way ahead—for decades to come.
