The seventh season of Curtis On Tour will feature brilliant
pianist Di Wu (Curtis graduate ’05) performing side-by-side
with a student wind quintet in a program to include Samuel
Barber’s (’34) iconic wind quintet, Summer Music. Curtis On
Tour continues to usher new works into the repertoire with
the commission of a wind quintet by a Curtis graduate-to-be
composed especially for this tour.
One of the world’s leading conservatories, the Curtis
Institute of Music provides its 165 students with full-tuition
scholarships and personalized attention from a celebrated
faculty. The school’s distinctive “learn by doing” approach
has produced an impressive number of notable artists since
its founding in 1924. When they graduate, Curtis students
